Here is the new Conan.









The first image looks terrible, but I think that is mostly the face he is making. The others look decent. He may do alright as Conan. The guy playing him is Jason Momoa. You may have seen him from Stargate Atlantis as the character Ronin. The big dude with dreads. Yep, that's the new Conan. I think they should put a ton of scars all over him. Make him look like he has been through the ringer a bit.

Thor
Here are some pics of the new Thor movie.

That would be Anthony Hopkins playing Odin. Who else could do the job? Thor will be played by Chris Hemsworth, the guy from Star Trek 2009 who played George Kirk. James T. Kirk's pops.

Loki, on the right, will be played by Tom Hiddleston.

That last image from thor looks like it hasn't even been thru editing. It looks as hoakey as the thing spinning conan around in the video i posted the other day.

Red Sonya terrible casting i don't see her in that part and I don't agree with them using her after her comments in the interviews. She is not muscular enough to be convincing in the role she is playing. I be they use alot of rubber swords on that set.

Conan that first image is AWFUL.
2nd image looks like the prince of persia movie
the third one .... looks like hurcules

the last Thor picture is the costume (destroyer) Loki steals to fight Thor. It's in the movie but I do not know if it is a part of the story yet. I'm really worried about this movie.

I expect the Conan and the Red Sonja to be terrible. So if they are good, I will be very happy.

I'm more excited to see the Captain America movie. I really hope it takes place during WWII.

I bet they go modern just because of the Avengers tie in.

Have never been much into the whole Thor comic mythology, but, I'm willing to give it a shot. The Conan, meh, it's probably, well, suck, but, there's always room for surprise. I'll see what Moviebob has to say about it and go from there. Again, I'd do terrible things to Rose McGowan, so, whatever, it can suck.

Any suggestions on movies or documentaries about gaming?

I have a few. On Netflix I watched a docu called "Second Skin". It is about people who play MMORPG's. It's pretty good. There is even a death in the docu. Not that this is a good thing, but it is messed up that someone killed them self over a game. It also discusses goldfarming and the darker side of gaming obsession. It is interesting.

May I also say that the docu "King of Kong" is really good. It is also on Netflix if you haven't already seen it. It is about the championship for the Donkey Kong arcade game.

I might have to check out that Second Skin one I been interested in that kinda stuff since I did research for a paper on the positive effects of Gaming on people for a Comp class a few years back.

If you ever get a chance to get your hands one a book called "Playing with Fire" it is about the funniest book I have ever read as it is totally against role playing games for all the wrong reasons and doesn't support their view well at all.
