This is just a idea right now it's not going to happen anytime soon. But I would love to see enough people come together on this website to support us actually having a get together and renting a hotel ball room for the weekend and game all weekend and check out local vendors.

Vendors We could possibly try to get there:
Backyard Ninja Games
Broken Icon Comics (local comic book maker)
Asylum Comics
Fantasy Sport Cards (Magic the gathering cards)
Game Stop (maybe)
Blacksmith BBQ
Games INC from Bridgeport (if they are still around)
Tomb of the Unknown Fanboy (from Morgantown)
Legions from Pittsburg (i wish)
The Keep from Columbus
Game Science (the dice guy)
Boarders

The first year booths would be as cheap as we can make them and still make a little money for the guild. Aka nicer website & t-shirts and stuff available.

Get a few Judges down have a magic the gathering tourney, board game tables, Wargame tables, get a few DM's who are certified in to run a few offical forgotten realms games. ect.

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions of people we should talk to or things we need to do to possibly make this happen if you have experience with such events let me know.

Well the first thing we need to do is decide on a location. Cambridge or Marietta are my prime choices.
Cambridge has central location. Marietta has more people I have contact with.

After that it would be checking to see if we need a event permit. Deciding on a date (im thinking late in the Con season shortly after Mid-Ohio Con next year. Starting to go around and talk and meet with sponsors to get the money we need to even get the area rented out and get a website made for the event.

After that It goes to actually coming to reality.

Gettysburg Soldiers and sailpower have supported me and I am sure they would like to help. Gettysburg soldiers is from Parkersburg. The place I use is really nice and a good price. We have a real nice convention center and if you want I can go and talk with them about price and dates it will be more expensive. The place I use has a kitchen so we have been able to even have food on site which helped keep people on site and added another income stream.

Sounds good, but the closer to marietta, the better. Think about it...
Small town, word travels easily, more people in no time flat, not to mention...I know a lot of people who play MtG and D&D around here

the advantage of Cambridge is that with both freeways it would be easy for a lot of people to get here

That is another good thing...hmm...we seem to be inconclusive...I might be able to get the Washington County Fair board to rent us the FFA/4H Building if needed...

Like I said I run a game day in February that is already paid for and has plenty of space. We can put up more tables and plug computers in. There is even free wifi. Why don't we start there and see what happens. http://www.battleatcrossroads.com/Default.html
